The selection and use of diamond grinding polishing pads

The following is a brief description of the selection and use of grinding discs for concrete floors.

1. metal grinding polishing discs: 

this product is mainly developed and designed for concrete floors with different hardness levels at home and abroad. It is used for rough grinding, ground leveling, base treatment, etc.

Granularity from coarse to subdivided into 6#, 16#, 20#, 30#, 50#, 60#, 80#, 100#, 120# 150#, 200#, 300#.

Special ground treatment has PCD (diamond composite sheet), strong cutting force, used for rough ground; Split PCD is mainly used for epoxy floor degumming (removal of old epoxy floor coating) and base grinding.

2.  Resin grinding polishing discs: 

mainly used for fine grinding and polishing. The particle sizes are: 50#, 80#, 100#, 120#, 150#, 200#, 300#, 400#, 500#, 800#, 1000#, 1500#, 2000#, 3000#.

3.  Ceramic grinding polishing discs: 

mainly used for medium moderate grinding. The particle sizes are 50#, 100#, 200#, and 400#.

 4. Selection and use of grinding discs:

     4.1. Selection of metal grinding discs:

        a) Metal grinding polishing discs have strong grinding power and high efficiency, and are strong grinding; they are mainly used for leveling and opening concrete floors, as well as leveling and roughening the base before laying epoxy floors, cement self-leveling and PU floors.

        b) We roughly divide the floor into five levels according to its softness and hardness:

That is, ultra-soft cement VSC, soft cement SC, medium-hard cement MC, hard cement HC, and super-hard cement VHC. The corresponding grinding blocks are super-hard grinding discs, hard grinding discs, neutral grinding discs, soft grinding discs, and ultra-soft grinding discs. piece. For floors with different hardness, the best results can be achieved by selecting grinding discs with different properties.

      c) Selection of particle size (mesh number) of metal grinding discs:

Generally, 30#, 80#, 150#, and 300# are selected for rough grinding; in special cases, 6#, 16#, 20#, PCD, and Split PCD can be selected.

    4.2. Selection of resin diamond grinding polishing discs:

      a) It is fine grinding.

      b) The main selection particle sizes (mesh number) are 100#, 200#, 400#, 800#, 1500#, 3000#;

Conventional floor polishing sequence: metal 30#, 80#, 150#, resin 100#, 200#, 400#, 800#, 1500#, 3000#, and then use a special scouring pad for mirror polishing.

      c). Selection of grinding disc shape: Generally, round shapes are more commonly used and are less prone to scratches. The arrow-tooth shape is used for rough grinding and debonding (removing old epoxy layer). Others have no special meaning.
